| Could someone explain the idea of "socialism in one country" theory by Stalin and would this be a good idea or another lie that Stalin used to gain more power

| err, the way i understand it, socialism in this sense was not the typical "socialism as a transient phase" used by marx or lenin, but the goal, communism....
stalin SAID that he believed that this was possible as one nation
trotsky SAID that he believed it was only possible on an international level
....they failed to take into account they were still both government bureaucrats of a state capitalist system arranged to help the USSR recover from its civil war by lenin (at least that's what he said his intention was)
the concept in and of itself is flawed because its based on the assumption that national boundaries are legitimate....especially in communism lol |

| communism is the same as capitalism. it can only work at an international level, when every country is communist in it's most mature form.
both ideas are good, but they can only be achieved if there is work coming from the bottom up. |

Private property exists within capitalism, therefore creating borders and divisions -- that's not an internationalist philosophy at all.

That's not necessarily true. If a country was able to be self-sufficient, they could be communist.
The only threat would be outside pressure. But if this cannot be overcome, communism won't be established to begin with.
