Anarchists and the political left have unified and taken to the streets in an uprising of revolutionary proportion following the police shooting of 15 year old Anarchist - Alexandros Grigoropoulos RIP. Full on battles between riot police and protesters have broken out in most major cities - some police stations have been taken. The minister of the interior has offered his resignation and It is specualted that the gov may enforce a state of emergency.

The unrest has spread throughout Europe - The Greek embassy in Berlin was occupied by Anarchists - the Greek flag removed and the red/black risen - protests have also been held in most other European capitals.

My indybulletin. d:

For those of you who don't know, Saturday a 16 year old anarchist was shot dead by police in the Anarchist neighborhood of Ex-Archia in Athens Greece.

The situation in Greece is a little different from Amerika -- the Anarchists have widespread public sympathy because of what they have done to improve the community and the police have been forbidden for years from even setting foot on University soil, much less actually shooting someone.

As we speak there are riots against state and capitalist targets and mass demonstrations ongoing in every city across the nation.

Greek consulates in Berlin and London have been occupied!

On Saturday 6th of December at around 10pm, two Greek policemen were in patrol in a central street by Exarchia square, in the center of Athens. They had a verbal argument with some young people who were there. During the argument, one of the cops pulled his gun and shot a 16-year-old guy twice. The victim was moved to Evangelismos Hospital to be found dead. According to eye-witnesses, the cop had been swearing against the young man, showing his genitals, before shooting him.

In a spontaneous response, thousands of people gathered in the centers of most of Greek cities. In Athens, people gathered outside Evangelismos Hospital, in order to prevent the cops from entering the building. A little later the riot police attacked in a street in Exarchia resulting to one person being arrested. The evening in Athens evolved with a spontaneous assembly in the Polytechnic University, a lot of riots in the whole center of Athens [photos 1] [photos 2] including attacks against police departments and banks, until the early hours of the next morning. Meanwhile, a spontaneous demonstration took place, but it was confronted by the riot police with tear gas. Three more University building, the Economic, the Pantion and the Law School have been occupied.

Rallies, demonstrations, direct actions and riots took place all around the country. In Thessaloniki, a big spontaneous demonstration took place, while 2 Police Departments were attacked, several bank departments were burnt and Egnatia str., the main street, was block by burning trash bins for hours. Reports have been also posted about actions in Yannena, Iraklio [photos] Chania, Komotini, Mitilini, Xanthi, Serres, Sparta, Alexandroupolis and Volos.

Demonstrations in all cities of Greece have been announced for Sunday 7 December afternoon, starting at 1pm.

this is awesome. it's spreading though all of europe, and it's actually quite big. it will get bigger and bigger, and i smell a revolution coming, especially if we help it.
i think this is our chance. we have a chance to act out right now. we have to get out this information and get people heated up. if this happens, there will be more revolts, stirring yet more revolts and activism, and eventually a revolution in which the state is ether overthrown or weakened.
we have to not only protest and form black blocs, but also form new organizations. we have to bring anarchy to our workplace and schools.

this is the first step towards freedom.

Most of the protests will be occurring in Canada. By the olympics, I'll be able to drive around wherever I want.
